The Elwynn Forest Waterfall is something that you have probably flown over many times. It takes some effort to actually get there and explore it. I was inspired to visit this place after hearing the Warcraft Less Traveled segment in the All Things Azeroth podcast, episode 196.
Here is my main at the Elwynn Forest Waterfall:

Here is a view of the waterfall itself:

This is a good place to stand if you want to go fishing for peacebloom:

If you hit the right spot, you end up with as much peacebloom as you care to take the time to fish for. My main is a Shaman, so I’ve no idea what I’m going to do with all this peacebloom!

A big “Thank you!” to Skolnick, for pointing out this beautiful location to me in your Warcraft Less Traveled segment. If you would like to learn how to get to the Elwynn Forest Waterfall, check out All Things Azeroth episode 196, “System Meltdown Imminent”.

After your flight ends, you are supposed to go talk to this guy:

Doesn’t he look nice and friendly? Yeah, I didn’t think so either.
Oh My God!

This is the biggest thing I have ever seen in WoW! It’s so big that the ground shakes when it gets too close to you. It makes a horrible sound when it yells that I can’t even describe. I’m sure there is a proper name for that thing, but I think of it as “OhMyGodRunAwayRunAwayNow!”
Anyway, the angry looking guy in the red armor sends me to talk to this much calmer looking guy:

These things make snapping and cracking noises, and they pop up out of the ground, but trust me, these are not Rice Krispies.

They will not be your breakfast, but you might end up becoming theirs.
I was starting to wonder if the ominous portal actually led me into Hell. And then this happened:

Spammers? I hate spammers! Ok, I’m convinced I’m in Hell.
Oh well. At least the sky in Hell is kinda pretty:

My first trip to Outland ended well:

Ding! My main is now level 59!

After going through the ominous looking portal, I saw this:

We’re not in Kansas anymore!
Next, I’m supposed to talk to this guy:

As the battle continues in the background.
The Commander sends me to talk to this guy:

Since he happens to be the Gryphon Master, he decides to send me on a quick flight to where the next guy is at. Time for some sightseeing!
Here is something you don’t see everyday:

My main is finally a high enough level to go through this portal.

He tells me to go through this scary looking portal:

/gulp
Wait…are those koi fish, swimming around in there?
It doesn’t look like a good idea, but ok… here I go!

I love the Midsummer Fire Fest! This is one of my very favorite world events. I got a new computer since last Fire Fest, and everything looks so much better now!
Check out the pretty, glowing braziers!

Dancing around the… um… firepole? .. seems to be a crowdpleaser:
